Good Touch-Bad Touch Awareness Program at JS Public School, Morena
Introduction and आयोजन का उद्देश्य
“Bharat Vikas Parishad” organized an important awareness program on Good Touch and Bad Touch at JS Public Higher Secondary School, Vankhandi road, Sr Branch, Morena. The initiative aimed to educate students, especially girls, about personal safety, awareness, and self-protection.

The program was graced by Dr. Ritu Rathi (Senior Gynecologist) as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries included:
- Smt. Archana Sharma (President, Bharat Vikas Parishad)
- Smt. Rajni Gupta (Secretary)
- Smt. Anju Trivedi (Sanskar Pramukh)
The main objective was to empower students with knowledge about safety, awareness, and confidence.
Understanding Good Touch and Bad Touch and Safety Awareness
Dr. Ritu Rathi explained in simple language:
- Good Touch makes us feel safe and comfortable
- Bad Touch causes discomfort, fear, or confusion
She emphasized that certain body parts (like lips, neck, chest, inner thigh, and private parts) should not be touched by others.
Swimsuit Rule: The Swimsuit Rule was explained clearly—
Any part of the body covered by a swimsuit is private and should not be touched by others.
Students were guided to:
- Say “NO” loudly in unsafe situations
- Inform parents, teachers, or trusted adults
Holistic Awareness: Self-Defense, Confidence & Health Education
Students were encouraged to learn Taekwondo and self-defense techniques. This helps in:
- Building confidence
- Ensuring self-protection
- Handling unsafe situations
Dr. Rathi also educated students about puberty and menstrual health, explaining:
- Physical changes during ages 12–13
- Importance of menstrual hygiene
- Maintaining good health
Conclusion and Impact of the Program
The program successfully created awareness among students regarding safety, health, and confidence. Students actively participated and gained valuable knowledge for their well-being.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the school principal and presence of respected teachers.
